Security systems
Alarm and
security systems.
We install and service Honeywell/Resideo and Paradox security systems for storefronts, offices, shops, clinics, and warehouses across St. Thomas, Elgin County, and London. New systems include mobile app control as standard. Existing systems can usually be modernized with a communicator module, adding app access and automation without replacing the panel or sensors. Self-monitoring through the app is included at no cost, and professional monitoring is available if required.
Overview
Reliable detection, scheduled arming, and accountability.
A commercial alarm system should operate without attention: sensors that do not generate false alarms, a panel that arms on schedule, a separate code for each employee, and a notification when an event actually occurs. We install systems from Honeywell/Resideo and Paradox configured to these requirements.
- Door and window contacts, motion, glass-break, and shock sensors
- Individual user codes, providing a record of who armed and disarmed the system
- Automatic arming schedules and late-to-close notifications
- Arming, disarming, and alerts from a mobile phone
- Self-monitoring through the app at no cost, with professional monitoring available
- Existing panels upgraded with a communicator module for app access, without a full reinstall

Existing systems
App access and automation for the system you already have. Usually without replacing it.
Many commercial premises have a sound alarm system that is simply out of date in how it communicates: a keypad by the door, a landline dialer, and no way to check its status from outside the building. In most cases the panel and sensors are still serviceable. What is missing is a modern connection.
We add a cellular or IP communicator module to the existing Honeywell/Resideo or Paradox panel. This provides arming, disarming, and alerts through a mobile app, along with automation such as scheduled arming and integration with door access and cameras. Self-monitoring through the app is included at no cost. The panel, wiring, and sensors remain in place, and the work is typically completed in a single visit.
- Arm, disarm, and view system status from a mobile app
- Push notifications for alarms, openings, closings, and trouble conditions
- Self-monitoring at no cost, with professional monitoring available as an option
- Scheduled arming, late-to-close alerts, and automation rules
- Cellular or IP reporting that replaces a landline dialer
- Integration with door access and cameras where those are installed
- Panel and sensors retained, so cost and disruption are limited

Where the existing keypad is dated
Where a panel is too old to accept a module, we advise a replacement and reuse the existing sensors and wiring wherever possible.
Manufacturers
Honeywell/Resideo and Paradox
Two established manufacturers. We select the panel appropriate to the premises and budget, and we stock the components required to service it.
Resideo is the current name for the Honeywell security product line, and the panels, keypads, and communicators continue that lineage. Commercial intrusion panels with a long service record, broad sensor compatibility, mobile app control, and substantial expansion capacity for larger sites. Existing Honeywell panels are fully supported.
Well-regarded panels with flexible partitioning and zoning, wired and wireless sensors, and dependable mobile control. Frequently specified for small and mid-sized commercial installations.
Scope of work
Panels, sensors, keypads, and communication
Intrusion detection
Door and window contacts, motion detectors, glass-break sensors, and shock sensors, wired or wireless.
Commercial fire panel integration
We do not install fire detection, but we connect existing commercial fire panels to the alarm system so that fire alarm and trouble signals are reported and monitored alongside intrusion.
Environmental sensors
Water leak and low-temperature sensors on the same panel, for server rooms, mechanical rooms, and unheated storage.
Keypads and mobile control
Touchscreen and conventional keypads, with arming, status, and alerts from a mobile app on every new system.
Partitions and users
Separate areas for tenants, departments, or a shop and office, each with its own codes and schedules.
Communicators
Cellular and IP communicators for new and existing panels, providing app access and reporting that does not depend on a landline.
Monitoring
Self-monitoring through the mobile app is included at no cost. Professional monitoring is available as an option for premises that require it.
Panic and duress
Hold-up buttons at service counters and duress codes for staff safety.
Takeovers and modernization
Existing panels can usually be taken over and fitted with a communicator module for app access, retaining the sensors and wiring rather than reinstalling.
Service and inspection
Annual testing, battery replacement, and prompt response to zone faults.
